Features
The whole phone system, on one page
Corinne is sold as a complete system, not a base plan with the useful parts behind an upgrade. Here is everything it does, and, at the bottom, everything it does not do yet.
Feature areas
Calling & devices
Desk phones that configure themselves, softphones, transfers, hold, park, hunt groups and call forwarding.
Auto‑attendant & routing
Menus, business hours, holidays, ring groups, and a defined answer for every call that nobody picks up.
Voicemail & transcription
Messages transcribed to text on our own hardware, stored encrypted, purged on the schedule you set.
Business texting
SMS and MMS from your business number, with carrier registration and opt‑out handling built in.
911 & emergency calling
Direct dialing, on‑site notification, dispatchable location, and a record that cannot be rewritten.
Security & compliance
Encryption on every leg, database‑level isolation between customers, and an audit trail on every change.
Recording & reporting
Searchable call records, and recording that stays off until someone with the authority turns it on.
Moving from your current system
Re‑use the handsets you own, keep your numbers, and move on a date you pick rather than one you are given.
What’s included, in full
Every line below is part of the system. There is no add‑on column, because there are no add‑ons.
Calls
- Inbound and outbound calls on the public phone network
- Extension‑to‑extension dialing across your whole company
- Blind and attended transfer, hold, mute, call park
- Hunt groups and ring groups, with the ring order you choose
- Call forwarding, including to a cell phone
- Caller ID you set per company and per extension
- Limits on simultaneous calls and call rate, to cap the damage if credentials are ever stolen
- International dialing off by default, on request
Phones & devices
- Desk phones configure themselves from their MAC address — no typing settings into a handset
- Key layouts designed once and applied to many phones
- Layouts store intent, not vendor codes, so changing handset brand keeps your arrangement
- Provisioning windows are opened deliberately and close after a single use
- Standard SIP softphones on desktop and mobile
- A preview of exactly what a handset will receive, with the password never shown
Answering & routing
- Auto‑attendant menus with recorded or uploaded prompts
- Business hours, after hours, and holiday schedules
- A defined destination for every unanswered call — no call falls off the end
- Per‑company and per‑extension voicemail boxes
- Direct‑dial numbers routed to any extension, group or menu
Messages & records
- Voicemail transcribed to text, stored encrypted
- Two‑way SMS and MMS from your business number
- An opt‑out list that a sender cannot override
- Searchable call detail records
- Call recording, off by default, set per company or per extension
- Automatic retention and purge, with a legal‑hold override
Safety & compliance
- 911 dialed directly, with no prefix, from every phone
- Notification to your chosen people the moment 911 is dialed
- A dispatchable location tied to your registered address
- A callback number a dispatcher can call back
- A permanent, unalterable record of every emergency call
- Carrier registration for business texting, handled by us
Administration
- A web portal for your team, with roles: company admin, manager, and everyday user
- People see only what their role allows, enforced on the server, not just hidden in the page
- Every configuration change recorded: who, what, before, after, and from where
- Bulk user import, so setting up fifty people is not fifty forms
- A company directory your staff can search
- Your own logo and color in the portal your staff sign in to
Being straight with you
What Corinne does not do yet
Most vendors put this list nowhere. We would rather you find it here than three weeks after signing.
| Capability | Status | What that means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Calling from a web browser | Not yet | Built and tested end to end, but no customer has placed a call with it. We will not count it as shipped until one has. |
| A Corinne mobile app | Not built | Mobile today means a standard SIP app we help you set up, or forwarding your extension to your cell. |
| Message‑waiting lights on handsets | Not yet | New voicemail shows in the portal and by email. The red lamp on the handset is deliberately left off until it can also be turned back off reliably. |
| Busy‑lamp keys (see who is on a call) | Not yet | Keys for colleagues work as speed dials. They do not yet light up when that person is on a call. |
| Yealink and Poly desk phones | Unverified | Grandstream is proven on real hardware. Others are built to the vendor documentation but not field‑tested — ask us before you count on a specific model. |
| Connecting to your CRM or records system | Planned | The groundwork exists. There is no public interface for other software to plug into yet. |
| Video meetings | Not planned | Corinne is a phone system. You almost certainly already have video, and we would rather do one thing properly. |
Want to see it working?
We will walk you through the real system, on a real call, not a slide deck.
